If the nozzle check pattern has gaps or looks faint, Epson says to run a Head Cleaning, or a Power Cleaning if almost the entire pattern is missing. If three cleanings don't help, turn the printer off, wait at least 6 hours, then check and clean again. If quality still doesn't improve, Epson says to run a Power Cleaning.

Paper won't feed

Epson's fixes for paper feed problems on the P700 include fanning and reloading the paper, and loading only one sheet at a time in the front manual feed tray. It also warns that paper dust on the rollers can make them lose traction and stop feeding paper properly.
