Update the firmware first
Some of these problems were fixed or improved in a firmware update. If you see one, install the latest firmware before you pay for a repair.
Earbuds won't connect to the Sound Connect app (fixed in firmware 6.1.0)
minorSony's firmware 6.1.0 for the WF-1000XM5 fixes an issue where the earbuds may not connect to the Sony | Sound Connect app. If you're updating from version 6.0.0, Sony says to take the right earbud out of the case first, then the left, and check both are connected in the app.
