Overheating during long video recording
moderateSony says the a7 IV heats up as you keep shooting video, especially at the image sensor, and turns itself off when it gets too hot. Sony's own figures for 4K 30p: about 10 minutes of continuous recording with Auto Power OFF Temp. on Standard, or about 120 minutes on High at 25°C (77°F) and 30 minutes at 40°C (104°F). If it stops, leave it off for a while before you record again.
