majorSome S22 Ultra screens develop a green line, which reports tie to software updates. In April 2024, Samsung India offered a one-time free screen replacement for affected phones, the S22 Ultra included, bought within the past 3 years, even out of warranty. Samsung hadn't said whether other regions would get the same offer.

minorAt launch, a limited number of S22 Ultras showed a pixelated line on the display while playing YouTube or unlocking with a fingerprint, at WQHD resolution in Natural screen mode. Samsung said a software fix was coming and suggested Vivid mode or FHD+ until then. We haven't found a source confirming when the fix shipped.
Water resistance wears off
moderateSamsung lists the S22 series among its IP68 phones, but says water resistance isn't permanent and can decrease over time with wear or damage. It says to keep the phone away from saltwater, pool water, soapy water and chemicals.
